    Tool making

    Our core competences begin right with tool making itself. State-of-the-art machinery helps our qualified employees to produce high-quality tools for our stamping shop, polyurethane production and plastic injection moulding facility. Fast implementation times ensure that innovations reach customers and the market quickly. Careful and regular tool maintenance and repairs guarantee high productivity over the long-term and an above-average service life for each and every tool.

  • Steel-forming-wheels-castors-Blickle

    Stamping/forming technology

    Our comprehensive pool of presses consists of hydraulic and ex-centric presses as well as punching machines with up to 630 tonnes press power. 10 mm thick coils can be punched and formed fully automatically with them. We produce steel and stainless steel components that can be directly implemented in automatic production using self-developed and manufactured follow-on composite tools. Add to this short make-ready times, and we are able to realise efficient production of both large and small series.

    Welding

    Blickle heavy duty wheels and castors can carry up to 50 tonnes. That's why perfection and safety are the top priority in our welding shop, where our processes are carried out both manually and automatically. In addition to state-of-the-art welding robots and longitudinal and circular welding systems, our welding engineers and certified welders ensure consistent excellent welded joint quality. Regular metallographic examinations of the welded seams ensure a high level of quality in this production area.

    Polyurethane production

    Blickle has developed different types of polyurethane tailored to various applications. Comprehensive expertise from decades of experience in the development and production of polyurethane has been put into the Blickle Extrathane®, Softhane®, Besthane® and Besthane® Soft polyurethane treads. The optimal interplay of coordinated development and production influences the quality of the final product and therefore the parameters tread and tyre hardness, rebound resilience, wear, load capacity, compression set, rolling resistance, resistance to hydrolysis and low temperature flexibility, which are crucial in polyurethane wheels. Fully automatic production lines for large-scale series production are supplemented with special casting systems for small batches and special versions.

    Plastic injection moulding

    Blickle can produce the most varied synthetic castors - nylon, polypropylene or TPE, heat-resistant, electrically conductive, glass-fibre reinforced and numerous other variants. Our state-of-the-art plastics production facility enables us to produce wheels, but also complete swivel and fixed castor solutions for a wide range of standard conditions. Blickle produces the most varied synthetic castors – resistant, electrically conductive, glass-fibre reinforced and numerous other variants. We not only produce castors made of various types of plastics, we also make complete swivel and fixed castors. Our large pool of machines and systems for injection moulding of plastic parts consists of the latest state-of-the-art machines from leading German manufacturers. The clamping force of the machines is tailored to the cycle times of the different synthetic products. In addition to single-component wheels, two-component wheels are produced on robot-controlled systems. Combined with fully automatic material supply, it enables extremely efficient, lean production.

    Assembly

    For bracket and wheel assembly, Blickle has developed fully automatic production lines. This results in economic, streamlined assembly work of the highest quality. Following the motto “machines where possible and people where necessary”, assembly is primarily performed by camera-monitored robots. Our flexibility is mainly down to the use of manual labour to be able to realise customer-specific small batches. Many testing and control stations integrated in the production lines guarantee a high level of quality.
