Shipping container castors for transporting ISO containers

Shipping container castors are mounted on sea freight containers or frames with container corners in accordance with ISO 1161 to enable them to be moved. Our range offers various types of shipping container castors with twist lock fastenings, which can move loads of up to 16,000 kg. Many industries face the challenge of moving containers efficiently, safely, and flexibly. The choice of the right transport casters is crucial here. They must not only withstand extreme loads, but also meet the specific requirements of different areas of application:

• Stable support: The container must rest securely and with virtually no play on the casters to ensure precise and reliable handling.
• Compact design: The low height of the castors allows easy maneuvering through low hall doors or in confined spaces.
• High load capacity: Despite the limited installation space, the castors must be able to reliably support high loads.
• Secure fixation: To prevent uncontrolled rolling away, the casters must securely fix the container when the locks are activated
• Ergonomic design: Despite their robust construction, the castors should be designed to allow ergonomic and effortless assembly

The freight containers can be mobilized quickly and without tools:

• Step 1: Check the surface (flat and free of obstacles)
• Step 2: Lift the container (using a forklift truck, container lift or crane)
• Step 3: Secure the container castor (see video)

• Step 4: Move the container (the container can be pulled with a tow bar from a forklift truck, for example).
