Efficient material transport with Blickle customised solution

Solving Oy is a Finnish family-owned company specialising in material handling solutions and AGV equipment. Solving's machines can handle large and heavy loads of up to 100 tonnes.

A low installation height is usually specified for the rollers in the applications manufactured by Solving Oy. At the same time, a high load capacity and high quality are required. For one project, the customer needed wheels for automated guided vehicles with 20 tonnes load capacity on a production line. The AGV's move very slowly on the production line at 47 mm per minute. The service life expectation of the originally intended wheel was very short.

The Blickle experts developed a special solution with the Extrathane® polyurethane tread that precisely met the customer's requirements. The service life of the customised solution is significantly longer than that of the originally intended wheels. As a result, downtimes in the end customer's production line were reduced and production efficiency increased by around 30 per cent. When choosing a wheel and castor manufacturer, it was important for Solving that they were able to provide expert technical advice and develop new products quickly if required. Blickle scored highly here and impressed the customer with its high quality.
