Highest construction site in the Zollernalbkreis district on target

As announced, Blickle Räder+Rollen is building a new, second high-rack warehouse committing the company once more to its headquarters in Rosenfeld, Germany. With a total height of approximately 40 metres, the high-rack warehouse will tower over the pallet warehouse built five years ago by 13 metres.

Currently, construction in Rosenfield's commercial area of Dornbrunnen is on target. The project began in early May with the building excavation for the foundation as well as a sprinkler tank. In July, 1,500 m² concrete were laid for the 80-cm-thick foundation, a volume of concrete corresponding to that of over 20 single-family homes. Presently the rack's steel construction is being installed for mounting of subsequent roof and wall elements. This will require approximately 1,300 tonnes of steel. Assembly of the conveyor technology and installation of the rack feeders are planned from October.

The building is expected to be completed at the end of this year, allowing the plant to be commissioned right at the beginning of 2016. With the construction of this fully automatic high-rack warehouse, the company is preparing for the future, increasing the storage capacity at the location in Rosenfeld by over 28,000 pallet spaces to over 43,000 spaces.
