The Blickle Year 2022 at a glance

At the beginning of 2022, everyone had hoped that after the extraordinary Corona years, more normality would return and more stable economic conditions would emerge. However, the Ukraine war unfortunately dashed this hope at the beginning of 2022. Exploding energy costs, rising commodity prices and compromised supply chains have presented us all with a completely new set of challenges. The global economic slowdown in the second half of the year also resulted in a reduced demand for wheels and castors. Thanks to high order backlogs and strong growth in some of our export markets and industries, we were nevertheless able to realise solid double-digit sales growth in the Blickle Group, which we are obviously very pleased about.

Facts & Figures 2022

Blickle continues its successful course in 2022 despite more difficult overall conditions. Turnover and the number of employees are once again growing significantly. The biggest challenges remain the lack of skilled workers and ensuring excellent delivery performance.

  • With another solid double-digit growth in sales, the Blickle Group's turnover exceeds the 300 million euro mark for the first time
  • The Blickle Group employs over 1,250 people, more than 900 of whom work at the headquarters in Rosenfeld
  • 54 students and trainees are in training at Blickle

Investing in the future

The high investments made in recent years in new buildings, plants and the expansion of the worldwide sales organisation are the basis for the growth of the Blickle Group. With the commissioning of the new polyurethane production, the manufacturing capacity has been significantly expanded and many processes optimised. The new office building with customer centre is nearing completion.

Innovative mobility solutions for our customers

In times of increasing cost pressure, demand is growing for innovative mobility solutions , that ensure greater efficiency in logistics, materials handling technology and in plant and machine construction. Blickle stands worldwide for unique innovative strength and flexibility in special solutions made in Germany. Our ErgoMove business unit now sells its innovative e-mobility solutions worldwide and was able to continue it’s successful progress in 2022 with many new additions to its range.

Energy, Sustainability & Social Responsibility

Global warming and the resulting climate change are one of the greatest challenges of our time. We are aware that our activities also have an impact on the environment and we are constantly working to reduce this impact to a minimum. In the new polyurethane production (move-in 2022) and in the new administration building (completion 2023), state-of-the-art energy-saving concepts are being implemented to minimise the consumption of resources.

Blickle celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2023. Probably never in the company's history, have the challenges posed by political, economic and social changes and climate change been greater than in these days. Nevertheless, we look to the future with confidence. Wherever it is in our hands, we want to actively shape the future together with our customers, employees and suppliers and meet the challenges with innovative concepts.
